another 4th of July BBQ Picnic at
JCIL


Beginning at 12 Noon the Jackson Center for Independent Living (JCIL) will celebrate the 14th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) with exhibits, speakers, music, comedy skits, sign language classes and a Scott's BAR-B-Q picnic. On display will be the new Wheelchair Accessible Chrysler PT Cruiser from Freedom Motors, Inc. The 2004 JCIL Independent Living Award will be presented to Issac Okoreeh-Baah, ADA Coordinator for TN State Parks within the TN Department of Environment and Conservation, for his work in making Tennessee Stat Parks more accessible to people with disabilities. Special guests will include Mike Carlton, Director of TN State Parks; Dwight Hensley, Director of Facilities Management for Environment and Conservation and J.J. Perdue, Asst. Director of Facilities Management.
