Meet the legendary drummer, W.S. HOLLAND
W.S.'s musical career began in 1954 at Sun Records as drummer for Carl Perkins. He played on all of Carl's Sun releases, including the original "Blue Suede Shoes." He was also the drummer on the "Million Dollar Quartet" session. In 1960 W.S. joined Johnny Cash and "The Tennessee Two" became "The Tennessee Three." He played on all of Cash's hits including "Folsom Prison Blues," "Walk the Line" and "Ring of Fire," and was the first drummer to play a full set of drums at the Grand Ole Opry in the Ryman Auditorium. W.S. remained with Cash as drummer until 1997 when Johnny retired due to illness. Cash gave W.S. the nickname "Father of the Drums." Holland was inducted into the Rockabilly Hall of Fame. |
See the accessible BOSS HOSS Advantage Trike
Boss Hoss Cycles, manufacturer of V8-powered motorcycles, is producing the Boss Hoss Advantage Trike, the first wheelchair accessible trike that is tailored specifically to the disabled rider. The new Advantage Trikes are scheduled for release in September 2008. As the industry’s first production model for the disabled rider, the trike has been designed with a wheelchair lift built into the chassis, which is hidden by the fiberglass truck-style trike body. All the controls of the trike are hand operable to accommodate individuals that do not have, or have use of, their legs. The Advantage Trike was designed with a simple aftermarket conversion to the Boss Hoss Truck trike, and can be purchased exclusively through local authorized Boss Hoss dealers. “We want our riders to know that it's not their disabilities, but their abilities that count,” says Rad Hunsley, president and COO of Boss Hoss. “We have riders with a variety of handicaps that love our trikes. We are now offering those that do not have use of their legs the freedom to ride!” |
- giving people with disabilities the freedom to ride
Boss Hoss trikes offer safety and stability incomparable to your average two-wheeled bike. Two-wheelers are fun, but the trike offers a certain comfort for disabled riders. With a trike you can ride without hesitation!” says Steve Miller, handicapped rider and an avid Boss Hoss enthusiast. Though Miller is able to ride without the conversion from V-8 Performance, the new wheelchair accessible trike will allow other motorcycle enthusiasts to get back on the road. Boss Hoss cycles have a minimum of 355 horsepower. The upgraded 2008 line of Boss Hoss bikes and trikes are fed by electronic fuel injection controlled by a Delphi electronic control module (ECM), and fitted with a redesigned catalytic exhaust system to meet all current EPA and CARB emissions standards. The 2008 model trikes will be offered with an optional Air Ride suspension system produced by Legend Air Suspension, exclusively for Boss Hoss. The Brembo rear disc brake system is now standard equipment on all trikes. For more information visit www.bosshoss.com or call (731) 286-4915. |
