NEXT	Health fair draws large crowd By TYRONE TONY REED JR. Children, teenagers, adults and seniors packed the Carl Perkins Civic Center on Saturday, receiving pamphlets, goody bags and free health screenings to promote healthy lifestyles during the 27th annual West Tennessee Health Fair. The fair was sponsored by West Tennessee Healthcare and WBBJ-TV. Featured this year were special areas for children, senior citizens, people with disabilities and parents of teenagers. Among the free health screenings offered were cholesterol, vision, height and weight for children, foot, blood pressure, glucose, body mass index, oxygen saturation, postural, grip strength, bone density and clinical breast exams. Educational displays from numerous area agencies also were available.
